We aim for girls to embrace “mathematician” as part of their core identity.
GAIM 2025 is coming April 4-11, 2025!
Registration starts November 1, 2024 and ends March 1, 2025.
About the Competition
Girls’ Adventures in Math is a team-based online math challenge created for girls! Competition questions come in comic form based on the lives of four of history’s great pioneering women. Girls work together in their teams to solve the problems. There are two levels of competition, each with two rounds of mind-bending problems to solve:
Elementary (grades 3-5)
Middle School (grades 6-8)

Featured GAIM 2024 Women
Meet the GAIM 2025 featured women!
To spark your inspiration, GAIM recognizes four great women from history every year, and presents the competition problems in the context of their lives.
Our GAIM 2025 women are librarian Anne Carroll Moore, composer Florence Price, astronomer and geographer Mary Somerville, and molecular biologist Flossie Wong-Staal. GAIM girls, get to know the remarkable women who came before you, so that you are inspired to pursue your passions and make a difference!
“As society sees what women can do, as women see what women can do, there will be more women out there doing things, and we’ll all be better off for it.”
– Ruth Bader Ginsburg
looking forward
